I finally developed my last roll of 120 film which has been laying around for quite some time now! What I got back from it was something nice though - light leaks! I'm not sure exactly how this happened as I didn't do anything particularly different to the other times, but I suppose that's the nature of using a Diana F+ camera you never quite know what you'll get!
Take a look below at some of the photos, or check out the full gallery for more.

I've been snapping away at every opportunity these last few days with the Zenit-E. Turns out, there was some film in it from years ago! So I've been using up what ever was left of that film just to see what will be produced. Last night I snapped the last shot on the roll and when I (eventually) found how to roll the film off, I discovered that there was a black and white film inside! It is also a 400 ISO film and I was shooting under the assumption and settings of a 200 colour film - so it'll be interesting to see how these photos turn out, if anything produces at all!
I also took the last few shots on my Diana camera too, so now I have two rolls to get printed, so double the surprises this time! woohoo :D

So I got my dad's old film camera back the other day. I thought I'd give it a try again since when I tried before about 10 years back, it just confused me! But now after doing photography for about 5 years or so, I feel like I can probably understand it more!
The camera is a 35mm SLR Zenit-E camera from the 1970's or there about. It was an old mass-produced entry level camera made in the USSR - and it's really quite heavy! Once I get some film for it, I'm going to go out and try get some nice shots and see how I fare, but until then, here's a couple photos of the camera itself:

So my adventures in lomography continues! I've been using different film so the pictures are coming out quite nice, plus I've been getting the hang of the camera now (I think!)
Here's some examples:

Wedding season is here! It's been a while since I've done a wedding, but despite feeling like I may not be up to the challenge after a few years break, I think the photos came out quite well!

I'm starting to get into Lomography now since getting a Diana F+ camera for Christmas. Using film properly for the first time is interesting and even more of a challenge with a strange little camera like the Diana! But it is definitely proving to be fun and unpredictable, unlike digital photography sometimes (not that it isn't fun, but it's pretty predictable in its results).
It's a lot more exciting than I imagined it would be, the not knowing. Every shot I take is at best, a guess and a hope. Sometimes the results are better than expected, sometimes not, but it's all a learning curve.
Check out the gallery where I'll be putting my better shots.

The end at last (of 2012 and my 365 project)!
It's been a fun and sometimes tiring and tough experience doing a picture every day for a year, and I'm glad that I did it, but I don't think I shall be doing it again any time soon. It has sparked ideas for other, shorter photo projects and themes which I will add here when I do them.
You can view an overview of the 356 Project here which will display all the photos for each month in a calendar grid.
I also got a Diana F+ for Christmas, so I'll be venturing into some film photography soon too!
Stay tuned :)...

There's now a page dedicated to displaying all the latest updates to my Instagram account. That is the main place I'm uploading my 365 project photos, so it's just easier to have them display on the site automatically now!
If you want to check them out, head on over to this page.

Yes, more photos will be coming soon. I want to get this site back up to date with all my photography work on it. It'll be a long process and I'll only upload the best selection rather than everything but I'll add some photos soon.
Watch this space.
In the mean-time, you can always view what is available on the Portfolio page, or for a full range, look on Flickr....

The 365 Project is well underway! 265 photos in, 72% complete - not much longer to go now!
It's been a hard journey, but a fun and challenging one! But I'd be lying if I said I won't be glad when it's over. While it's pushed me to be more creative and to have to look at things differently than normal to find something worthwhile to photograph, every day isn't always full of photography opportunity - at least not for me, I spend most of my day in front of my laptop working and rarely leave the house unless I have to, since I work from home. Plus, I didn't want each day to become a photo of my dinner so it's been a challenge to find other things that are more interesting to make pictures of.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings. If you want view the progress so far (since I haven't uploaded it all to this site yet) you can have a look on the 365 Project website, or you can subscribe to my project RSS feed.
