Happy New Year!

Posted by Luke Wilson on 2nd January 2013 in Photography | diana f+, Christmas, new Year, 365 project, film photography
The end at last (of 2012 and my 365 project)!   It's been a fun and sometimes tiring and tough experience doing a picture every day for a year, and I'm glad that I did it, but I don't think I shall be doing it again any time soon. It has sparked ideas for other, shorter photo projects and themes which I will add here when I do them.   You can view an overview of the 356 Project here  which will display all the photos for each month in a calendar grid.   I also got a diana f+ for Christmas, so I'll be venturing into some film photography soon too!   Stay tuned :)...

Lomography   I'm starting to get into Lomography now since getting a diana f+ camera for Christmas. Using film properly for the first time is interesting and even more of a challenge with a strange little camera like the diana! But it is definitely proving to be fun and unpredictable, unlike digital photography sometimes (not that it isn't fun, but it's pretty predictable in its results). Sometimes the results are better than expected, sometimes not, but it's all a learning curve. Check out the gallery where I'll be putting my better sho...

Light Leaks

Posted by Luke Wilson on 17th March 2015 in film Photography | lomography, film photography, diana f, vintage
I finally developed my last roll of 120 film which has been laying around for quite some time now! What I got back from it was something nice though -  light leaks!  I'm not sure exactly how this happened as I didn't do anything particularly different to the other times, but I suppose that's the nature of using a diana f+ camera  you never quite know what you'll get! Take a look below at some of the photos, or check out the full gallery for more.      ...

Black and White Surprise

Posted by Luke Wilson on 21st March 2014 in Photography | lomography, photography, 35mm, retro, SLR camera, black and white, film
I've been snapping away at every opportunity these last few days with the Zenit-E. Turns out, there was some film in it from years ago! So I've been using up what ever was left of that film just to see what will be produced. Last night I snapped the last shot on the roll and when I (eventually) found how to roll the film off, I discovered that there was a black and white film inside! It is also a 400 ISO film and I was shooting under the assumption and settings of a 200 colour film - so it'll be interesting to see how these photos turn out, if anything produces at all!   I also took the last few shots on my diana camera too, so now I have two rolls to get prin...
